Yesterday was exhausting for so many of us. It was discouraging. It was more than sickening. Many of us would have rather been six feet under than forced to see “that man”, you know who, get into office.
It doesn’t seem like there’s anything left to fight for, or even to defend. However, I took a little trip down memory lane yesterday, and the Lord started to remind me of some hopeful truths. You see, in October we had the chance to Truck for Trump, and it was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever been a part of.
Why? Because every person who was involved was kind, joyful, and had pride in what it meant to be an American.
It hit me, as I was looking back through some of those pictures, that there are 80 million Patriots who know the truth. There are 80 million of us who love this Country that God has given us to protect and prosper in.
Ok, I know y’all probably don’t have much hope right now and are ready to call it quits, but please allow me to speak some truth over you today… 80 million Patriots who love God, the truth, and their Country are much more powerful than 100 people who might be sitting in the White House today.
Are those people powerful and in a position of leadership? Yes, absolutely. But, like Thomas Paine once said, “We have it in our power to begin the world over again.”
We, just like the Founding Fathers who made America what it is, have an opportunity to begin again and in such a way that brings us back to God and the reason for our Nation. We can show people that being an American means to preserve our God-given freedom on a daily basis. We can be an example of how to exercise those freedoms wherever God has placed us.
The fight isn’t over, and you are utterly fooled if you think it is. This battle that we are in is not against flesh and blood, although it may come to that. It will always be a spiritual battle first and foremost.
Colossians 1:13 gives me great hope for those who pursue what is right. It says, “He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the Kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
The only reason we have the opportunity to begin again is because of the victory we have in Jesus, but we must pursue the victory provided. It does not just appear out of thin air. We must not turn a blind eye to the devil in times like the present.
We are soldiers in Christ’s army. Aiding the broken and hopeless souls by sharing that we have found the Captain of salvation! What America needs now is not unity, but complete restoration and an overwhelming sense of conviction.
We have the opportunity. The question is, will we seize it?
“When once a Republic is corrupted, there is no possibility of remedying any of the growing evils but by removing the corruption and restoring it’s lost principles; every other correction is either useless or a new evil.” (Thomas Jefferson)
SO WHAT IS YOUR RESPONSE?
= Have you lost hope?
= Will you seize the opportunity?
= What are you going to do differently?
