Happy Easter Sunday! What a glorious week this has been! My one remaining hope for us is that we would praise the Lord for all that He did for us upon the cross with every last bit of thankfulness and love that we now have, only because of what Jesus has done. 4/5/26
THE SILENCE OF SATURDAY (PASSION WEEK 2026)
Even in the silence, Heaven was writing a victory story. The man who had been beaten, killed, and buried behind a stone would not stay in the grave. Jesus rose, conquering sin, death, and every power of darkness. This is the promise hidden in Saturday, it always points to His victory. 4/4/26
GOOD FRIDAY? WHY? (PASSION WEEK 2026)
The more I think about it, maybe Good Friday is perfectly appropriate for this day. Because without this Jesus thing, the bleed, suffer, die thing, there would be no Resurrection Sunday. No payment for sin that could restore our relationship with God. Nothing could be better than that. 4/3/26
A RUNAWAY (PASSION WEEK 2026)
Standing there that night, listening to those words, I realized something I don’t want to forget… I am the runaway, absolutely. But I am also the one He is running toward. 4/2/26
GRACE WAS NEAR… BUT HE RETURNED TO THE TEMPLE (PASSION WEEK 2026)
Judas, on the other hand, ran back to the Temple, to the Priests, to the old way of doing things, begging for forgiveness that they could not grant. “I have sinned, he said, for I have betrayed innocent blood.” “What is that to us? they replied. That is your responsibility.” (Matthew 27: 4). 4/1/26
QUIETLY DECIDED (PASSION WEEK 2026)
Now, I can see Matthew, sitting opposite Jesus, a campfire between them on their journey, and this encounter filling his thoughts. How could he see Jesus as anyone but the only person to defend his dignity? As the only one to know the dark truth of what Matthew had chosen and still offer him a seat at His Passover table. 3/31/26
THE SUFFERING SERVANT (PASSION WEEK 2026)
Long before the cross, Isaiah gives us a picture of the Messiah that doesn’t match what people expected. Not a conquering king. Not someone admired and celebrated. A suffering servant. 3/30/26
FOR THOSE WHO REFUSE TO RUSH EASTER
Before we begin releasing new Passion Week posts starting on Palm Sunday, we wanted to give you the opportunity to revisit some of our past writings. These pieces have challenged us, shaped us, and helped us see Jesus more clearly, and our prayer is that they would do the same for you. 3/26/26
REMEMBER. REPENT. RESPOND.
I would encourage you to really concentrate on honoring this Lenten season well. It should be more than merely giving up a certain food or making a charitable donation. Those are good things if done with the right heart and with a focus on drawing closer to Christ, but we can, and should, go deeper still. 2/19/26
