THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS

Christ, however, came to defeat death and all that it brought with it. On that old rugged cross, Christ took on every part of our ugliness. Can you imagine? The very incarnation of beauty itself was made hideously ugly. Not only does the Lord seek to restore that beauty and innocence by inviting us to die to ourselves and experience a glorious resurrection in Him, but He goes a step further.

KNOWING THE TIMES AND HOW TO LIVE IN LIGHT OF THEM

To know the signs of the times is much more than reading news headlines and knowing popular reel audios. In fact, it’s knowing what is significant about the happenings of our world. It’s knowing what is shaping us, forming us, and molding us. It’s wholeheartedly believing that we are alive in a time full of significance, positioned uniquely in the story of the world that God is writing as we progress day-by-day toward the final chapter.

TO THE DISCOURAGED CHRISTIAN

It is true that the Christian life is not a constant high, and what matters more than anything else is where we run when we have feelings we can’t deal with on our own. You see, discouragement is a beautiful part of the Christian life only because God uses it to bring us closer to Himself. He helps soften our hearts to feel what He feels, and it is in that moment, when we feel what He feels, that we can best care, love, and serve.

THEY WERE HOLDING ON TO SOMETHING

You can hope with all of your soul that it will work out in the end if you hold on to Jesus, to the stories which inspire us anew, and to the people like Samwise Gamgee who will always stick by your side and remind you of the things which really matter when you can’t seem to remember yourself.

SO YOU WANT TO BE A GOOD LEADER?

Any leader who is willing to sit back, or even flee, while sending others into the battle he should be winning is a pathetic specimen who should not be trusted even with a little. In the words of General George Patton, “No good decision was ever made in a swivel chair.”

YOU’RE LUCKY YOU KNOW

Lucy wasn’t “lucky to know”. She was simply trusting that Aslan hadn’t and wouldn’t abandon them, and it was in this act that she was proving herself to Aslan. This provided her with the hope and courage she needed for the future challenges they were about to face.
