If our own Savior, the Creator of all things, the ultimate Divine power of the world, deemed victory through and over death the ultimate plan of redemption, should we not also throw ourselves headlong into battle? 12/16/25
EVIL CAN NEVER BE BIRTHED (BLOGMAS DAY TWO 2025)
We must ensure that evil can never be birthed merely by our inaction. For inaction is what darkness craves most. A people easily conquered are a people plagued by indecision and lack of conviction. As you set out to celebrate Christmas, understand that every decision you make has the power to expand or shrink the darkness around you. 12/2/25
DISCOVERING GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOUR SEASON OF SINGLENESS
Still, his words wouldn't leave me. It is good to remain single, as I am. And then, something unexpected happened — I decided to take Paul at his word. What if our singleness is an advantage? 8/21/25
A WEEK FULL OF CELEBRATION
In this special anniversary episode, we reflect on how the blog as well as A Few Minutes With The Few began, the behind-the-scenes growth we’ve experienced, and what God has taught us over the past six years of blogging and five years of podcasting. 5/2/25
OUR OLD, DEAD SELF
I believe that continuing to see ourselves as sinners after we are saved is wrong, and that wrong view of ourselves has a hugely negative impact on our growth as Christians. It keeps us right where the enemy wants us; not living in the fullness of Christ! 1/16/25
EVEN DRAGONS HAVE THEIR ENDING
Though dragons have always been a part of our world, we know that the endings of dragons have also echoed through the pages of history. Let us remember that our Knight is no longer a babe in a manger, but is grown, into the Heavenly Warrior He was always meant to become, and His sword is now drawn. 12/24/24
WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS CONSIDER OF YOU?
When you are young, Christmas loves you unconditionally. As you get older, though, it expects a little more pursuit on your end. It pulls back a little and beckons you to step forward and fill the space. It asks you to give it just as much of your magic in being alive, and breathing, and created to glorify the Divine, as it gives to you of its magic. For without these things where does the magic really lie? 12/3/24
AND STILL OBEYS
Mankind has continued to forge chains that bind us and weigh us down. We lack the power to free ourselves from them, and our only hope of being set free lies outside of ourselves. If we will but open our hearts and minds, we will certainly discover that the blessings of obedience to Jesus alone are utterly astounding.
IN NEED OF A CONQUEROR
You see, Jesus came to make siege. To find people who were either for or against Him. To find those who would charge the temple with Him or run for the hills. All the people in Jerusalem would have known the old stories and would have recognized that only a King in possession of a victory takes the temple.Â
THE GREATEST STORY
My challenge for us today is this: do not succumb to blindness in a world which is predominately overtaken with it. Be the person who sits down with Scripture, who sits down with Jesus, and allow it to awaken your wonder anew. Allow it to shape you into a person who simply will not fit the mold of society, and who dares break the mold with their heroic courage in continuing the greatest Story ever told. Â
GRIEF & LOVE GREATER THAN OURS
Aslan doesn’t go on to explain why Digory’s mother is sick or what the purpose of it all is. Neither does he promise to heal her in that moment, but what He asks Digory to do is trust Him. He does not act as if he doesn’t care, in fact, Digory felt as if Aslan cared more about his mother than he did. And the truth is, Aslan did.
ODE TO EBENEZER SCROOGE
Scrooge examined his life, his heart, against God’s standard and found himself lacking. He knew that he could not change on his own but called on the Spirit to strive within him. You and I have a wonderful opportunity to ask the Holy Spirit to live within us this Christmas day and every day, friend!
WHAT HEAVEN DESIRES AND HELL FEARS
God has nothing to offer us except Himself, and that He does. Will we not have Him? Do we not long, with every fiber of our being, to just take hold of Him?
THAT LITTLE PRAYING PASTOR
You are powerful through the blood of Christ, dear Christian. But remember, that blood was not shed for you to sit back and do nothing. It was shed for you to overcome the principalities of this present darkness. Â
