Happy November! It’s safe to say October was one for the books! From new podcast conversations to special life moments, this past month was full of reminders of God’s faithfulness. 11/6/25
WHY JESUS ISN’T ASKING YOU TO “DO MORE”
Jesus isn’t asking you to do more, friend. Rest isn’t a sin, and I know there’s someone out there who needs to hear that just as much as I do. Fight the urge to always do more, you don’t have to constantly ask yourself if you’ve worked hard enough to rest. 8/14/25
A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF JULY 2025
Happy August! From celebrating a big podcast milestone (shoutout to our 20.5K+ downloads! 🎉) to tackling some deeper questions about spiritual fear, purpose, and obedience, July was anything but boring. 8/7/25
A WEEK FULL OF CELEBRATION
In this special anniversary episode, we reflect on how the blog as well as A Few Minutes With The Few began, the behind-the-scenes growth we’ve experienced, and what God has taught us over the past six years of blogging and five years of podcasting. 5/2/25
A FEW MINUTES WITH THE FEW – A PODCAST FOR BOLD, KINGDOM-MINDED CHRISTIANS
If you’ve been following us here on the blog, you know we’re passionate about encouraging Christians, and specifically Gen-Z believers, to live fully awake to their purpose in Christ. One incredibly important way we do that is by bringing the truth right to your headphones. 4/24/25
THE PASSIVITY OF PEACETIME ASSUMPTIONS
Jesus knew that bringing peace between man and God would be no small matter, but would be a matter that would require the ultimate sacrifice of His life. He was willing to do whatever needed to be done in order to make a way for me and you to have a relationship with Him, even if it was dangerous, uncomfortable, and caused division. 4/15/25
THE SCENT OF A KING
Can you just imagine the thoughts of the priests in the temple as Jesus throws over the money changing tables or the guards who arrest Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane? What about those who cast lots for his robe? Would they have caught a whiff of the perfume and got a sinking feeling, wondering who this man really was? 4/14/25
FAITH WITHOUT A CEILING
If there’s anything you take from this story let it be this… Jesus is so worth the risks. Everything we’ve ever needed He is. Too many of us are playing it safe when Jesus is saying, “Come on, try me. All that’s necessary is faith without a ceiling.” 3/27/25
EIGHT ESSENTIAL QUALITIES OF CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP
Just this morning, I was reading about the eight qualities of leadership Sanders believes are essential for the Christian life, which I found to be incredibly challenging and impactful. Allow me to share these qualities with you, as I believe we should make it our goal to cultivate them in our everyday lives so we can be fruitful for the sake of the Kingdom and eternity… 3/20/25
A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2025
Happy March! Our February was quite an adventure. It was a busy month of school for Madie and I, and we have been incredibly thankful for a small break this week in between school sessions! It is hard to believe we are beginning the journey of Lent this week, and that Spring feels as though it is just about to bring a warm and inviting welcome! 3/6/25
A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2024
Happy January and happy New Year! This is our very first post of 2025 and I am so looking forward to seeing how the Lord is going to move in our lives this year! December was one of the best months here at The Few, as we posted a new post every day in December for Blogmas, and multiple new podcast episodes over on our show, A Few Minutes With The Few! 1/2/25
WORTH THE WAIT
As we enter this new year together, though it may be littered with uncertainty and we may feel trepidation, what awaits us may in fact be beauty, respite, and life. Whatever lies ahead, we shall face the growing dawn with clean swords, thick armor, and hearts confident in one thing. 12/31/24
LET IT HAPPEN
From spontaneous coffee dates with dear friends, to bringing Lizzie (our puppy) home, to concerts where we worshiped our hearts out, to getting hired to do a job I absolutely love, to being loved and cared for by a man who is seeking Jesus; I had no control over any of these happenings. 12/30/24
REPENT
See, repentance is not just for murder, adultery, and stealing. Repentance is also about trading a former thought for a new thought; changing whatever it is God is calling us to change. If it's stealing, by all means get to repenting. But if it's putting the emphasis on everything but Jesus this Christmas; get after repentance for that just the same. 12/4/24
LOVE’S AS WARM AS TEARS BY C. S. LEWIS
Along with the first snow that greeted us on our doorstep this morning, all the Blogmas preparation arrived also! So, for our blog post this week, we are sharing a beautiful and meaningful poem by our beloved Lewis, which will allow us some extra time to begin gathering the Christmas inspiration needed for the month of December which is quickly approaching! 11/21/24
IN THE RUBBLE AND THE RUIN
The beautiful truth I feel as though I am learning daily is that while everything around me appears to be rubble and ruin, and all of it is so very unfamiliar, the Lord is proving His good and faithful character to me. He is all that remains in the rubble and the ruin, He is my familiar thing.
THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS
Christ, however, came to defeat death and all that it brought with it. On that old rugged cross, Christ took on every part of our ugliness. Can you imagine? The very incarnation of beauty itself was made hideously ugly. Not only does the Lord seek to restore that beauty and innocence by inviting us to die to ourselves and experience a glorious resurrection in Him, but He goes a step further.
MY BLESSED DEFEAT
Defeat is quite the “gospel” kind of concept, don’t you think? It is a concept which is completely backwards in our minds, in the world around us, and in our feelings. But I have often found that the only gospel worth believing in tends to follow this pattern. A pattern which looks entirely foolish to those who have not been changed by it.
THE LESSER LIGHT
Here is what I have come to ask you today: Are you alright with being the lesser light in a time of darkness if it will preserve the coming of day for future generations? Are we still willing to exercise power and maintain even a little light, though it is increasingly difficult to shine it, if it means that those coming after us will be able to expect a dawn?
WHERE WE TEND TO BE
You see, the Israelites were in the in-between, and they didn’t make the most of it. Where we tend to be in life is somewhere between Egypt and Canaan, and for some reason we can’t quite figure out what that in-between season looks like.
A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF APRIL 2024
This past month, y’all really enjoyed listening to our episode titled, “Why Is Therapy Becoming So Popular”, and we also shared the news about how we are getting close to hitting 15 THOUSAND DOWNLOADS on our show “A Few Minutes With The Few”!
A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF MARCH 2024
Happy April! Welcome back to our little corner of the world! This week, we are looking at all of the blog posts, podcast episodes, and social media posts we created throughout the month of March!
WILDERNESS AND WASTELAND
I believe we are all aware that if a piece of land is not cultivated consistently and pruned constantly, it will never cease to return to being a wilderness and wasteland. It will always go back to its former state. There is one thing that I don’t believe we are all aware of, though… Our hearts can do the same if we are not obedient to Christ and allow Him to do His work of cultivating within us.
RISE UP
It is indeed up to my generation to be God-fearing, educated, intelligent individuals or we will live our lives believing and falling for every lie the world chooses to tell us. Unfortunately, this is how most of the generation that came before us currently lives.
THE SILVERSMITH
More often than not, our first reaction to a crisis is to run to the world for a solution or “quick fix”, because we are already functioning in a worldly mindset on a daily basis. However, this is a bigger issue than we think it is. Our choices are evidence of whom we ultimately trust.
