A CHRISTMAS HYMN (BLOGMAS DAY TWENTY-ONE 2025)

Happy Sunday, everyone! We are so grateful you are here, reading and interacting with our Blogmas posts. Enjoy this Christmas hymn, written by Rend Collective! We sang it in church this morning and it was encouragement to us. We hope it is also an encouragement to you this evening. 12/21/25

BEFORE THE FLOOD (BLOGMAS DAY TWENTY 2025)

As we made our way through the Ark, there were various rooms full of biblical and historical facts which presented boldly and clearly the truth about Godโ€™s cleansing of the world. However, there was one spot that stood out to me the most. Let me tell you that after walking through it and seeing all of the depictionsโ€ฆ It seemed too familiar. 12/20/25

CONSIDER YOUR PREPAREDNESS (BLOGMAS DAY NINETEEN 2025)

Iโ€™ll confess that the older Iโ€™ve become, the more grateful I am for Amazon. Online purchasing is a lot easier and less stressful than making the annual pilgrimage to all the stores.ย However, my goal in this short little article is to have you, the reader, consider your preparedness, not for Christmas, but for the second coming of Christ. 12/19/25

CHRISTMAS CHOICES (BLOGMAS DAY SEVENTEEN 2025)

Two years ago, Vic, my husband went to be with Jesus.ย Over the last 2 years, I have been faced with lots of choices to make by myself. I have quickly learned that to walk victoriously in my life with Christ Jesus, my choices must be based on the Word of God. 12/17/25

YOUR RECLAMATION (BLOGMAS DAY FIFTEEN 2025)

Reclamation requires us to turn away from worldly things and focus on inward things; to recollect the past and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in discovering the good there that can be used for our healing. At the heart of our reclamation is a return to our soulโ€™s relationship with God as our maker, and as the keeper of our past, present, and future. 12/15/25

COME TO THE KING (BLOGMAS DAY TWELVE 2025)

You see, when we decide to come to the King Jesus, the one true King, there will be Herods that rise up within us and around us. Things that you may not picture as your King, but you have personally placed them on the thrones of your life. And they will do anything to retain their position; they will muster up every weapon they have and try to defeat you coming to King Jesus. 12/12/25

ROOM TO REST (BLOGMAS DAY TEN 2025)

As my mind lingered on that wondrous night long ago in a Bethlehem stable, the image of the swaddled babyย restingย in a manger stayed with me. He was justย here.ย Nothing else mattered in that moment. Instead of doing a bunch of things you think will bring about blessings and Christmas-y feelings, the reality is blessings and miracles already surround us. Jesus is already here. Heโ€™s in you and me, always. 12/10/25

WITH MY GAZE TURNED EAST (BLOGMAS DAY NINE 2025)

Sometimes, I wonder where that anticipation went. I know that as children, everything always feels longer, and our patience is so slightly developed we fear waiting will simply do us in. But I feel as though this anticipation should still be our friend around this time of year. 12/9/25

EVERY ENCOUNTER, A CHANCE (BLOGMAS DAY EIGHT 2025)

Brothers and sisters, I also say to you, especially during this Christmas season, every encounter you have with another person, family, friend, co-worker, stranger, is a chance to improve their quality of life. You have the Good News; the simple Gospel, that WILL change the course of every personโ€™s life and death. Every encounter is a chance. 12/8/25

A DEAD MAN WALKING (BLOGMAS DAY SIX 2025)

Scott has accepted Jesus, and I praise the Lord for that because if it wasnโ€™t for Scott being a dead man walking and dying to himself and accepting Jesus, my life would be very different. Iโ€™d be a dead man walking; walking a mile straight to Hell. 12/6/25

WHO IN THE WORLD WAS THE FIRST NOEL? (BLOGMAS DAY FIVE 2025)

I mean really. This is not sitting in a warm cabin in front of the fire. These are the 3rd shift working guys. They're outside, in the field, watching a bunch of dirty sheep. There's no pomp and stature here man. These are the guys getting the job done in a less than inviting environment. And here comes the first noel. 12/5/25

THE GIFT I FINALLY GAVE JESUS THIS YEAR: EVERYTHING (BLOGMAS DAY THREE 2025)

As this Christmas season approaches, I want to challenge you to do more than simply go through the motionsโ€”attending church services, joining Bible studies, or listening to the classic Christmas songs without truly reflecting on their meaning. Really dig into your Bible; read it, study it, and seek to truly understand it. Pray for the strength to completely surrender whatever is weighing you down. 12/3/25

EVIL CAN NEVER BE BIRTHED (BLOGMAS DAY TWO 2025)

We must ensure that evil can never be birthed merely by our inaction. For inaction is what darkness craves most. A people easily conquered are a people plagued by indecision and lack of conviction. As you set out to celebrate Christmas, understand that every decision you make has the power to expand or shrink the darkness around you. 12/2/25

WHY GRATITUDE IS A SPIRITUAL DIAGNOSTIC

Gratitude is more than a warm feeling you cultivate during Thanksgiving week. Itโ€™s spiritual warfare against idolatry. Itโ€™s a declaration of who you belong to. And itโ€™s one of the clearest mirrors you have for seeing who you are really worshiping. 11/20/25

BLOGMAS – ONE READER, ONE DAY AT A TIME

Once again, I will be joined by my friends and family in bringing Christmas into our hearts, one reader and one day at a time. I invite you to join us as we write a new blog post every day in December, for the annual online event we like to call Blogmas.ย 11/13/25

DEATH AS A DARE

Over the past month, death has been a prominent topic of consideration in my life. When Charlie Kirk was assassinated, the grief and inspiration I felt mingled together within me was nothing short of indescribable. While his death was tragic, it held with it a question. 10/16/25

SOME UNRIGHTEOUS GRAND ASSAULT

So, even amidst such evil and this unrighteous grand assault, we are witnessing incredible growth as the Gospel is being preached more boldly and more clearly than it has been in quite some time. Of course, any logical thinker is then forced to ask the simple question, โ€œWhy?โ€ 10/9/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2025

Happy October! September was a month marked by both grief and resolve. Much of our time was spent reflecting on the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, and considering what his leadership and the mission of Turning Point USA means for Christians and for the American Republic in this hour. 10/2/25

HIGH INTENSITY OR LOW INTENSITY?

I looked up to Charlie in many ways. The way he loved his country, how he spoke with love and compassion, how brilliant he was, how he loved his wife, and how he stood for his faith. The list could go on and on. He had this sort of high intensity that I desire to have in my life. 9/18/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2025

Happy September! August flew by, but it left us with some powerful reminders of how the Lord is at work in and through His people. Each week here at The Few, we dug into conversations that stirred our hearts, stretched our faith, and pointed us back to Jesus. 9/4/25

WHY JESUS ISN’T ASKING YOU TO “DO MORE”

Jesus isnโ€™t asking you to do more, friend. Rest isnโ€™t a sin, and I know thereโ€™s someone out there who needs to hear that just as much as I do. Fight the urge to always do more, you donโ€™t have to constantly ask yourself if youโ€™ve worked hard enough to rest. 8/14/25

DO THE NEXT THING

Jesus replaces all the tasks I think I have to get to with one simple duty. My job is to be attentive to His voiceย at every moment. He will show me what it is I need to do in each moment, not the next thousand moments.ย 7/31/25

A GOTHIC CATHEDRAL BUILT ON OPINION

How many of us believe we have built a gothic cathedral of our opinions and personal preferences, only for it to be revealed when we look with humility that what we have built is nothing but a steel vault, closed off to anything which may bring light to our souls? 7/24/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF JUNE 2025

Happy July! June was a powerful month here at The Fewโ€”full of bold conversations, honest reflections, and a deeper call to revival. As we head into summer, weโ€™re taking a moment to look back at what God did through the content we shared this past month. 7/10/25

RE-SURRENDER

So, after my own re-surrendering, I feel the need to remind you that you canโ€™t do this on your own. It only results in more stress and anxiety. Youโ€™re trying to dig deeper, and no one has told you that youโ€™ve been throwing the dirt back in the whole time. Youโ€™re getting nowhere. 7/4/25

CAMP MEETING, HOLINESS, AND HAMBURGERS

While camp meeting is still a place where God moves in phenomenal ways; I wonder why we donโ€™t see the commitment to, and the results from it, like the old saints have told me stories about. My contention would be that we don't really want what God usually brings along with such commitment. 6/27/25

THE SAFEST PLACE FOR SUFFERING

Thereโ€™s not much worse than hearing pretty Christian clichรฉs and reading feel-good posts that everything is going to be alright and that youโ€™re doing a great job when youโ€™re currently in the fire being refined. I write this to you today because nothing has brought me more hope and inspired me to be all the more faithful than the fact that Jesus Himself is the safest place for my suffering. 6/19/25

TEN TRUTHS ABOUT REVIVAL WE CAN’T IGNORE

We donโ€™t need more entertainment or surface-level spirituality. Weโ€™re hungry for something real, for something that matters. What if we became the generation that chased after Jesus so fiercely that revival became our reality? 6/12/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF MAY

Happy June! The month of May felt like a beautiful blend of deep conversations, creative rhythms, and little reminders of why we started The Few in the first place. From celebrating five years of podcasting and six years of blogging (what?!), to answering rapid-fire questions about faith, sin, and spiritual honesty, this month pushed us to think more intentionally, and to reflect on all that the Lord is doing within our lives. 6/5/25

THE UNDRAGONING OF EUSTACE SCRUBB

At first, Eustace, who was indeed prideful, yet incredibly insecure in his human nature, was relieved to find that he had been turned into the biggest, most dangerous creature around, until he realizes that this creature he has become cuts him off from humanity. It cuts him off from the human he is supposed to become. 5/29/25

WHEN THE MIND IS A BATTLEFIELD

In order for us to win the mind game, we must live in the Lordโ€™s presence. I can confidently write that every time I have been in the presence of Jesus, I have never felt overwhelmed with fear and anxiety because His perfect love casts out all of my fear (1 John 4:18). 5/22/25

REMEMBER THE ONE WHO FORMED THE STONE

But what do we do when we still donโ€™t have answers? What do we do when we still want to hear His voice, but it feels like weโ€™re being stonewalled? These were the exact questions I was contemplating while doing a mundane task and listening to an online conference I had missed when it originally came out. 5/8/25

A WEEK FULL OF CELEBRATION

In this special anniversary episode, we reflect on how the blog as well as A Few Minutes With The Few began, the behind-the-scenes growth weโ€™ve experienced, and what God has taught us over the past six years of blogging and five years of podcasting. 5/2/25

THE LAST BROKEN THING

I know some of us still feel as if we are broken in a million pieces at His feet. Weโ€™re left wondering whatโ€™s next? How does this whole โ€œJesus thingโ€ impact tomorrow, even? For just a second, I would like to focus our attention on one simple phrase that has done nothing less than change the world because it is secured in an undeniable fact. I just want you to know that this changed my life. 4/20/25

I BELIEVE IN YOU

If Jesus has taught me anything, He has taught me that what is right is always worth believing in, and there is now no one else who will recognize that our belief in Him is infinitely more important than our belief in ourselves, whose perverted justice condemns what is holy and good. 4/19/25

JESUS ON YOUR TERMS, OR HIS?

So this Good Friday thing, this cross thing, it doesn't come with terms you get to negotiate. He wants to be Lord of everything in your life. Your family, marriage, work, money, who your friends are, what you do on vacation. Everything. 4/18/25

BROKEN BY HIM, FOR THEM

Let your heart be broken open to Jesus, through the pain. Let Him break down every instinct to self-protect. Go to the garden of your own Gethsemane, get on your knees, stay awake, and pray. 4/17/25

THE PASSIVITY OF PEACETIME ASSUMPTIONS

Jesus knew that bringing peace between man and God would be no small matter, but would be a matter that would require the ultimate sacrifice of His life. He was willing to do whatever needed to be done in order to make a way for me and you to have a relationship with Him, even if it was dangerous, uncomfortable, and caused division. 4/15/25

THE SCENT OF A KING

Can you just imagine the thoughts of the priests in the temple as Jesus throws over the money changing tables or the guards who arrest Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane? What about those who cast lots for his robe? Would they have caught a whiff of the perfume and got a sinking feeling, wondering who this man really was? 4/14/25

PASSION WEEK 2025

Happy Palm Sunday, friends! I wonโ€™t take much of your time on this gorgeous day, but I wanted to quickly invite you to join us here on the blog every day this week for blog posts that are specifically written to help us be intentional during this Passion Week! 4/13/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF MARCH 2025

Happy April! The month of March was both exciting and sort of a whirlwind for us. We recorded some really fun podcast episodes, one being โ€œPractical Advice For The Girl Who Has To Get A Job/Choose A Career But Has Only Ever Wanted To Be A Wife & Momโ€ which yโ€™all really enjoyed listening to, and we prepped for an outreach/revival event that took place last week! 4/10/25

FAITH WITHOUT A CEILING

If thereโ€™s anything you take from this story let it be thisโ€ฆย Jesus is so worth the risks. Everything weโ€™ve ever needed He is. Too many of us are playing it safe when Jesus is saying,ย โ€œCome on, try me. All thatโ€™s necessary is faith without a ceiling.โ€ 3/27/25

EIGHT ESSENTIAL QUALITIES OF CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP

Just this morning, I was reading about the eight qualities of leadership Sanders believes are essential for the Christian life, which I found to be incredibly challenging and impactful.ย Allow me to share these qualities with you, as I believe we should make it our goal to cultivate them in our everyday lives so we can be fruitful for the sake of the Kingdom and eternityโ€ฆ 3/20/25

BE LIKE BILL

Bill was a living, breathing example of exactly how Jesus wants us all to live. He would want his life to show us exactly that. He would always pray for the Lord to use him however He wanted. I believe that prayer has been answered; I know it has been in my life. 3/13/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY 2025

Happy March! Our February was quite an adventure. It was a busy month of school for Madie and I, and we have been incredibly thankful for a small break this week in between school sessions! It is hard to believe we are beginning the journey of Lent this week, and that Spring feels as though it is just about to bring a warm and inviting welcome! 3/6/25

HOLY GRIT

What I have learned these past months is that the Lord respects holy grit. He respects a pursuit of answers, even if He may not be ready to give them yet. 2/27/25

LET THE ARROWS FLY

But, I was thinking afterward, โ€œHow did Hannah give up this son that she so desperately desired?โ€ Of course she wanted her son for herself, but she wanted her son for Godโ€™s glory even more! She wanted a child who would serve the LORD, glorify Him, and further His Kingdom. 2/20/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF JANUARY 2025

Happy February! Iโ€™m thrilled to get to share with you our very first monthly favorites post of 2025! January felt like a long month, but it was full of a multitude of excellent content from some of our favorite guest writers. Madie & I are looking forward to an excellent year in which we can discover more of who God is alongside each of you! 2/6/25

NEAR TO THE SHEPHERD

It is obvious the Shepherd doesnโ€™t beat His sheep into following Him, but do we meditate on the truths of who He is that sadly may not be as obvious to us whenever we might fall into forgetfulness? 1/30/25

FIRST, NOT LAST

Here is my question. Why is it that the first place we should go for any answer (hope) to any of our questions or situations, is typically our last? I often believe that I know enough, am smart enough, or can get through anything by myself. But like most of you, if we are going to be transparent, when I get to the end of my rope, THAT is when I seek the Lord! 1/23/25

OUR OLD, DEAD SELF

I believe that continuing to see ourselves as sinners after we are saved is wrong, and that wrong view of ourselves has a hugely negative impact on our growth as Christians. It keeps us right where the enemy wants us; not living in the fullness of Christ! 1/16/25

TWENTY-FIVE THINGS CHRISTIANS SHOULD DO IN 2025

This isnโ€™t your typical Christian to-do list you would normally see while scrolling through Pinterest. This list is specifically curated for those who want to strive to be creatively intentional about living a deep and meaningful Christian life in 2025. 1/9/25

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF DECEMBER 2024

Happy January and happy New Year! This is our very first post of 2025 and I am so looking forward to seeing how the Lord is going to move in our lives this year! December was one of the best months here at The Few, as we posted a new post every day in December for Blogmas, and multiple new podcast episodes over on our show, A Few Minutes With The Few! 1/2/25

WORTH THE WAIT

As we enter this new year together, though it may be littered with uncertainty and we may feel trepidation, what awaits us may in fact be beauty, respite, and life. Whatever lies ahead, we shall face the growing dawn with clean swords, thick armor, and hearts confident in one thing. 12/31/24

LET IT HAPPEN

From spontaneous coffee dates with dear friends, to bringing Lizzie (our puppy) home, to concerts where we worshiped our hearts out, to getting hired to do a job I absolutely love, to being loved and cared for by a man who is seeking Jesus; I had no control over any of these happenings. 12/30/24

SHADOWS OF GREAT THINGS TO COME

Foster gratitude within your heart for Christโ€™s death, thanking God that we can have a relationship with Him if we are covered by His blood.ย Revel in the anticipation of the day you will see Him face to face and all will be made perfect. 12/28/24

A WORLD WITHOUT…

Christmas may be over, but we have been reminded once again of our calling. To be that hope that Jesus showed us how to be. To be joyful in a world so sad. To be the love that people seek. To be the light that can never be dimmed. 12/27/24

HIS BIRTH MEANS HE IS ENOUGH

Jesus came to be born of a virgin, live as a martyr, die as a criminal, and be resurrected as the King of all Kings! So for you and I, His birth means He is enough! His death means He is enough! His resurrection means He is enough! 12/26/24

THE KING HAS COME

The King has come! We celebrate this Christmas Day for that reason.ย No longer is our world grey and grim. Now it is bursting withย hopeย andย joyย because the Light has come into our darkness in the most powerful way! 12/25/24

EVEN DRAGONS HAVE THEIR ENDING

Though dragons have always been a part of our world, we know that the endings of dragons have also echoed through the pages of history. Let us remember that our Knight is no longer a babe in a manger, but is grown, into the Heavenly Warrior He was always meant to become, and His sword is now drawn. 12/24/24

DARKEST JUST BEFORE THE LIGHT

But then enters the tiniest sliver of light into that dark room and everything changes. The more light we let in, the more the shadows pull back and have to disappear; they have no choice because the Light always overtakes the dark. 12/23/24

GLORIA IN PROFUNDIS

Happy Sunday and Merry Christmas, everyone! We pray that your week was full of Jesusโ€™ presence and that you are experiencing Him this Christmas season. Letโ€™s take some time to pause today by reading another beautiful poem by G. K. Chesterton! 12/22/24

EVERY DECEMBER

I allowed my mind to believe that the emptiness I was feeling was caused by missing out on worldly activities. When in reality, the real reason for the emptiness in my heart was due to not being present spiritually in a time that should be completely centered around the Lord. 12/21/24

DEAR JESUS

Unlike Santa whom the world worships, we donโ€™t have to ask for a single thing from Jesus. He knows us. He knows what we need and what we desire with our hearts. He knows what is good for us. Heโ€™s already in pursuit of us. This is the beauty of Christmas. Heโ€™s always there waiting for us to make that leap of faith, allowing Him to lead us and be Lord of our lives. 12/20/24

THE PRAYER THAT COULD CHANGE OUR CHRISTMAS

Not for a second longer did I want my beliefs or experiences of Christmas to be marked by the kinds of lies secularism and modernism attempt to get me to latch on to and believe, just so they can fill their pockets full of temporary profit. As Chesterton once said, โ€œChristmas is a time when things happen; things that do not always happenโ€, and this was my hope and desire for this season. 12/19/24

JESUS, LORD AT THY BIRTH

Jesus, Lord at thy birth.ย Absolutely.ย Will you believe it completely and act like it this Christmas?ย I say yes and amen.ย Letโ€™s go all in with this Jesus, Christmas, born to save us from our sin, miracle. 12/18/24

THE THINGS WE NEED MOST

As we walked through the store, I was left a little stunned by the thought. What is the point of all this if we arenโ€™t celebrating Jesusโ€™ birth? If we arenโ€™t celebrating the literal salvation of the Earth, what is the point of it all? Where do they think this all comes from? Then, the Lord turned the question back on me. What do these people thinkย youย actually celebrate at Christmas? 12/17/24

GOD’S UNRELENTING LOVE

As I was writing to the new mom and dad, it became even more clear to me that the Christmas season needs to be held to a higher reverence than what we give it. It should be a somber, yet joyful, reminder of Godโ€™s unrelenting love. 12/16/24

THE WISE MEN

Welcome to the third Sunday of Blogmas! Let us take some time to quiet our hearts and be still before the Lord today. Here is a lovely poem to read by G. K. Chesterton... 12/15/24

TREASURES IN HEAVEN

These gifts aren't like the ones wrapped in paper and tied with ribbon that donโ€™t last, either. Weโ€™re storing up treasures, gifts, in Heaven forย all eternity. The enemy cannot take what treasures we have placed in Heaven with our praise. Those treasures of mine often look like people and moments; thatโ€™s what we can take with us to heaven. 12/14/24

THE ACT OF WORSHIP

I have noticed that as I have intentionally started listening to spiritually uplifting music, my mood has changed, and I view the things of the world differently. Christian music helps us to keep our focus where it should be. Music is no longer just music to me, itโ€™s a form of worship. 12/13/24

ANOTHER CHRISTMAS LUNATIC

See, what Scrooge meant by this was that Cratchit had a certain kind of joy and happiness, which he had no other words to explain except for the three he meant as an insult; โ€œAnother Christmas lunatic.โ€ Maybe, just maybe, to be a Christmas lunatic is to be a Christian. 12/12/24

CONSIDER YOUR PREPAREDNESS

Iโ€™ll confess that the older Iโ€™ve become, the more grateful I am for Amazon. Online purchasing is a lot easier and less stressful than making the annual pilgrimage to all the stores. However, my goal in this short little article is to have you, the reader, consider your preparedness, not for Christmas, but for the second coming of Christ. 12/11/24

IT IS TIME TO BE MOST HUMAN

So, what then does it mean to be truly human, a species which embodies all of these things? Quite frankly, to be human is to be a baby in a manger. To be most human is to be a figure which voluntarily self-sacrifices for others. Because that baby in a manger we somehow forget to celebrate in all the hubbub of this industrialized season, is the only one who got it right. 12/10/24

THE LONGING OF THE ANCIENT PROPHETS

All that we really must do to accomplish the preparation of our hearts for Christ this Advent is to become aware of the depth of our need for Him. And just like He has done since that very first Christmas, He will pour Himself out to meet that need. 12/9/24

THE NATIVITY

Happy Sunday! We are so enjoying Blogmas and pray yโ€™all are as well! Enjoy this rich and meaningful poem by G. K. Chesterton today. 12/8/24

JESUS, PEARL HARBOR, BLOGMAS, AND TRUTH (2024)

We have allowed the enemy to twist God's truth in subtle ways to try and get us to redefine His truth with ours. That is the fight of our day. We may not be signing up to physically storm the beaches of Normandy as our boys did those 83 years ago; but will we sign up to storm the gates of Hell and reclaim what we have so foolishly allowed the enemy to take? 12/7/24

A DRIVE THRU CHRISTMAS

Instead of settling for what is quick and convenient, how about we take our time, and remember that maybe โ€œa drive thruโ€ kind of Christmas will never truly satisfy the longings we all have. 12/6/24

REPENT

See, repentance is not just for murder, adultery, and stealing.ย Repentance is also about trading a former thought for a new thought; changing whatever it is God is calling us to change.ย If it's stealing, by all means get to repenting.ย But if it's putting the emphasis on everything but Jesus this Christmas; get after repentance for that just the same. 12/4/24

WHAT DOES CHRISTMAS CONSIDER OF YOU?

When you are young, Christmas loves you unconditionally. As you get older, though, it expects a little more pursuit on your end. It pulls back a little and beckons you to step forward and fill the space. It asks you to give it just as much of your magic in being alive, and breathing, and created to glorify the Divine, as it gives to you of its magic. For without these things where does the magic really lie? 12/3/24

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

I implore you to never forget, though, light cannot shine out from us if we are not connected to the source of that light. This Advent season is the perfect time to examine if you are truly abiding in Christ. There is no better time to behold Him and adore Him. 12/2/24

LOVE’S AS WARM AS TEARS BY C. S. LEWIS

Along with the first snow that greeted us on our doorstep this morning, all the Blogmas preparation arrived also! So, for our blog post this week, we are sharing a beautiful and meaningful poem by our beloved Lewis, which will allow us some extra time to begin gathering the Christmas inspiration needed for the month of December which is quickly approaching! 11/21/24

FAITH AND OBEDIENCE

In this moment, I knew I had to stand strong, ignore whatever fears the enemy may tempt me with, and be bold in that courtroom. I had no idea what I was going to say walking in there, but I had a strange sense of peace. It was like the Lord was speaking directly through me, I had no idea what was happening, but because of my faith and obedience the Lord was able to do what I thought was impossible.ย 11/14/24

IT’S GAME ON… THIS WEEK ON “A FEW MINUTES WITH THE FEW”

In light of the tremendously exciting news of the Election results, there will be no new blog post today. Instead, we recorded a very special episode for you to listen to detailing all our thoughts on Trumpโ€™s tremendous victory, the response of the Church, and how weโ€™re looking forward to the dawn of the Golden Age of America! 11/7/2024

THE ART OF OBSERVING, NOT ABSORBING

My challenge for us, as true Believers, is to cultivate the art of observation. Let us intently study our world and the people within it. Let us educate ourselves about worldviews and religions. Let us understand how the enemy is presently deceiving lost souls regarding policies and politics.

A DIFFERENT CLOSENESS

One thing I have realized is that though this is a different closeness than the one I experienced a couple months ago, it is still closeness. Before, it was as though the Lord and I were walking calmly hand in hand, smiling at each other as we both walked into the plan He set up. Now, weโ€™re bent over, head-to-head, our sweat is mingled together, we wear each otherโ€™s blood, and I keep asking the same question again and again.

ONE ESCAPE

The aggression of the enemy will never stop. In fact, it will only continue to grow. What we must address is our own passivity in Christ. A lot of us would rather run off a cliff into an abyss of nothing, than go upstream against the world and chase after Jesus and truth.

IN THE RUBBLE AND THE RUIN

The beautiful truth I feel as though I am learning daily is that while everything around me appears to be rubble and ruin, and all of it is so very unfamiliar, the Lord is proving His good and faithful character to me. He is all that remains in the rubble and the ruin, He is my familiar thing.

THE BEAUTY OF HOLINESS

Christ, however, came to defeat death and all that it brought with it. On that old rugged cross, Christ took on every part of our ugliness. Can you imagine? The very incarnation of beauty itself was made hideously ugly. Not only does the Lord seek to restore that beauty and innocence by inviting us to die to ourselves and experience a glorious resurrection in Him, but He goes a step further.

FROM THE THROWS OF SORROW

For poetry is not always what we think. Many of us think of poetry as silly and sappy and full of romance. But often, poetry is what someone has created from the throws of sorrow. From the throws of betrayal and feeling as if their heart might burst from their very chest. I speak from much recent experience in this area.

WHAT IF?

As Christians, we have been waiting for two thousand years for our Savior to come back to His people. Two thousand years is a pretty long time, and when something has been discussed for that amount of time, often the importance and the urgency grows quieter and quieter day by day. However, after only being saved for a year and a half now, Christโ€™s coming is a conversation that continues to get louder and louder in my own life. I believe our Savior is coming very soon!

MY BLESSED DEFEAT

Defeat is quite the โ€œgospelโ€ kind of concept, donโ€™t you think? It is a concept which is completely backwards in our minds, in the world around us, and in our feelings. But I have often found that the only gospel worth believing in tends to follow this pattern. A pattern which looks entirely foolish to those who have not been changed by it.

WHAT MAKES A MAN GO WILD?

One of the things that always strikes me about Lucy is how willing she is to confront difficult questions and thoughts, and how optimistic she is that Aslan will always make the wrong right again. I have been recently considering one of Lucyโ€™s contemplations in which she makes a profound statement I hope will never leave my memory.

THE LESSER LIGHT

Here is what I have come to ask you today: Are you alright with being the lesser light in a time of darkness if it will preserve the coming of day for future generations? Are we still willing to exercise power and maintain even a little light, though it is increasingly difficult to shine it, if it means that those coming after us will be able to expect a dawn?

WHERE WE TEND TO BE

You see, the Israelites were in the in-between, and they didnโ€™t make the most of it. Where we tend to be in life is somewhere between Egypt and Canaan, and for some reason we canโ€™t quite figure out what that in-between season looks like.

HIS NAME IS JESUS

Thomas is about to be burned at the stake and his friend is asking him to do what? That was my first thought. You would think heโ€™d tell him, โ€œWeโ€™ll miss youโ€ or โ€œYou shouldnโ€™t feel a thingโ€. No! Instead, he tells his friend that he needs to know if this Jesus thing is real. He needs to know if this grace given to us in the NAME of Jesus Christ is true.

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF JUNE 2024

Happy 4th of July! Welcome back to our little corner of the world! It may be a holiday, but as is our custom at the start of every new month, we are looking at all of the blog posts, podcast episodes, and social media posts we created throughout the month of June!

AND STILL OBEYS

Mankind has continued to forge chains that bind us and weigh us down. We lack the power to free ourselves from them, and our only hope of being set free lies outside of ourselves. If we will but open our hearts and minds, we will certainly discover that the blessings of obedience to Jesus alone are utterly astounding.

OTHERWISE THAN BY HEARSAY

Too many of us are still trying to figure God out with our heads, and Iโ€™m here to tell you today that that doesnโ€™t work. It never will. Tozer said, โ€œYou canโ€™t get at Him with your mind.โ€ So cut it out! You have to get helpless before Jesus.

A FEW FAVORITES FROM THE MONTH OF MAY 2024

Happy June! Welcome back to our little corner of the world! Here we are already, the beginning of summer! As is our custom at the start of every new month, we are looking at all of the blog posts, podcast episodes, and social media posts we created throughout the month of May!

EVERY RACE MUST BE WON BY SOMEONE

I wondered if anyone else truly cared about preserving the great experiment that is America, or if I stood alone on the hill I am fully willing to die on that shouts Americaโ€™s exceptionalism. But then I stood in that grandstand.

DO YOU WANT TO GET WELL?

So, when Jesus asks him, โ€œDo you want to get well?โ€ I now think in my mind, โ€œDo you want to get well? No, really, stop and think about it. Do you really want to get well? Do you really?โ€ Because it will mean an entire life change. Your world will be flipped upside down, totally, and completely different.

KNOWING THE TIMES AND HOW TO LIVE IN LIGHT OF THEM

To know the signs of the times is much more than reading news headlines and knowing popular reel audios. In fact, itโ€™s knowing what is significant about the happenings of our world. Itโ€™s knowing what is shaping us, forming us, and molding us. Itโ€™s wholeheartedly believing that we are alive in a time full of significance, positioned uniquely in the story of the world that God is writing as we progress day-by-day toward the final chapter.
